Jesse Lockhart-Krause

Jesse Lockhart-Krause is the founder and driving force behind Lockhart-Krause Architects. He is a Registered Architect (NSW Registration No. 8950) and a Class 2 Design Practitioner (Registration No. DEP0003662).

Having studied at Queensland University of Technology and graduating from Newcastle University with a Masters of Architecture, Jesse began his career in 2006 working under RAIA Gold Medallist; Gabriel Poole. He combines his obsession with the architectural process with a deep understanding of practical architecture, drawing on his onsite construction experience with architect and carpenter Drew Heath. As well as on large-scale commercial projects with Australian architecture studios FJMT and BVN. To add to this resume, Jesse served as a team leader at one of the most highly acclaimed architecture practices in the world; Foster & Partners London.

Inspired to bring what he’d learnt to his own firm, Jesse established LKA in 2018, committed to architecture grounded by people and in deep collaboration with clients and stakeholders.

Jesse firmly believes in education and the power of big architectural ideas. He is continuously inspired by the relationship between people and place, and alongside his work with Lockhart-Krause Architects, contributes to the University of NSW as a guest and educator. Jesse has a love for art and is an active sportsman and volunteer in his local community.
